Wool Coverlet in bright tri-colors, reflecting German-American weaver; Fringe has pale blue thread used as a “counter” for the weaver. Selvege well done reflecting skills of a master weaver; red is madder;
blue is indigo, green made from Tulip-Linden tree leaves; center seam.

This weaving dates from 1845-1855; probably Midwest (Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana). Fringe is in excellent condition;
