This blanket chest came from an estate near the Pennsylvania-Maryland state line, and reflects a Germanic feel in the full ball feet and paneled construction. Grain paint is on all sides, with document box in the interior.The primary wood appears to be poplar.Original hinges. Grain painting is pleasing with some light flaking. This is a petite size that allows for use near a sofa, foot of the bed or hallway area.
